# Hour (DateTimeWithOffset dateTime)

| Syntax      | Hour (DateTimeWithOffset dateTime)                                                                   |
| Purpose     | To return the hour part of the specified date time offset value.                                     |
| Description | Returns a value between 0 and 23 representing the hour part of the specified date time offset value. |
| Return Type | Int64                                                                                                |
| Parameter   | dateTime \[System.DateTimeOffset] – Date for which the hour will be returned                         |

In this example, we will pass a date time offset value to the function transformation object using a *Variables* object.

Where,

*dateTime* = 06:40:35 AM
