# Year (DateTimeWithOffset dateTime)

| Purpose     | To get year part of the specified date time offset value.                                 |
| Description | Returns the year part of the specified date time offset value. Returns 0 if date is null. |

| Parameter   | dateTime \[System.DateTimeOffset] – Date for which the year will be returned              |

**Example**

In this example, we will pass a date time offset value to the function transformation object using a *Variables* object.

Where,

*dateTime* = 12/11/2001
