Concatenate Columns

In this document, we will explore how to concatenate columns in Astera Dataprep.  

1. To begin, click on the Layout option in the toolbar and select the Concatenate Columns option from the drop-down. 

1. This will open the Recipe Configuration – Concatenate Columns panel.

1. In this panel, you can configure the following:

• New Column Name: Enter a name for the new column that will hold the combined values.

• Delimiter: Specify the character (such as a space, comma, or dash) that should separate the values.

• Column Name(s): Use the drop-down to select the columns you want to concatenate.

1. Once you're done, click Apply . The new column will appear in the Grid, showing the combined values. For example, a new PC_Country column.
