# ToTicks (DateTimeWithOffset dateTime)

| Purpose     | To return an integer representing ticks for the specified date time offset value. |
| Description | Gets the number of ticks in the specified date time offset value.                 |

| Parameter   | dateTime \[System.DateTimeOffset] – Date for which local ticks will be returned   |

**Example**

In this example, we will pass a valid date time offset value to the function transformation object using a *Variables* object.
